I’m looking to take a week long vacation in the middle of August. I’m looking for a low budget exotic/adventure type vacation. I love mtn biking, kayaking, etc. (more extreme=better). But I’m also into beaches and nightlife.

I don’t need tour guides or like getting pampered but I’m also not against paying for excursions.

I’m looking into Costa Rica and Belize but if I can find something cheaper that’d be great…

I have a kayak that is plastic and has a small crack in it. Does anyone know what I could get from Home Depot or Lowes that would seal it up? I’m thinking rubber cement or some type of caulking or something. Maybe apply that and cover it with a heavy duty tape?

i was vacationing in the mountains and finally got home yesterday. this morning i was woken up by this terrible itching that wouldn’t allow me to go back to sleep! it was so itchy it was driving me crazy! it was dark and i just assumed it was mosquito bites from being in the mountains and put bactine on all over my legs and my wrists, then later during the day i noticed i didn’t have any bite marks. it just looked normal. i spent some time kayaking in the river and also hiked. could this be some type of poison or a rash that is invisible?

so im thinking of getting my first car by this summer. i need a car that can carry sporting equipment (kayaks, snowboards, mountainbikes) either in the back or on the roof. im looking for an old car 1999 or earlier and i really wan a classic car with some personality. im looking at something like a VW microbus or an original Austin Mini ( i know it wont cary my gear easily). are there any other older cars like these that i could look at?

I bought a kayak for fishing a year or so ago, and I absolutely love it. I’m convinced there’s no more productive, more enjoyable, or more relaxing way to fish.

I had some pretty serious dizziness/vertigo a couple of days ago working in the backyard and had to use balance myself with my hand against the side of the house so as not to fall over. Now, unless I’m leaning over onto my left forearm against my desk while i type, I get lightheaded and feel like I’m just going to fall out of my chair. This happened in high school a time or two and I called in sick. Nowhere to call-in this weekend, so should I just veg out on the couch or in the morning go kayaking out in the harbor and up the river as I had planned?
My most recent MRI went well (month or two ago) so I’m pretty positive there is no tumor, If I happen the get lightheaded and capsize the kayak will the cold water affect these dizzy spell?

My friends and i are planning a 4 kayak, 1 canoe, 2 day trip. I’m pretty much a newbie to kayaking. I’ll be borrowing a kayak that is just a typical recreation kayak.Its not like a sea kayak with the front and back space designated for gear. It’s a sit-inside type kayak.should i pack the gear(sleepingbag and a backpack of essentials) just behind the seat? i plan on obviously testing it to make sure i don’t sink and drown(hate it when that happens).but just seeing if anyone think if its do-able or not.thanks

I had a pleasant dream I want to share. It was a new type of sport. Kayaks with special wings, like ellips parallel to the kayak, you could both row or fly with it. Several kayaks had their starting points on one line on the highest place in the mountains. The weather was great, and the valleys very deep and panoramic. People were testing their new type of kayak-planes. One older person, about 70years old, was in a very normal kayak, starting, and it was just flying smoothly. He had no fear, was just sitting there at ease in the kayak, it was flying slowly, very high over the valley. If he was moving too much, the kayak would fall, but he had no fear at all, and just eating his lunch in the kayak. I thought: amazing! how is this possible?! And then I woke up. The panoramic view over the mountains and the valley was so clear, like from an airplane.

i found a rapala lure while on holiday ( the jointed type), it’s got a bit of rust on the trebles but the rest of the lure is in pretty good shape. so i rigged it up with some steel leader and a swivel and tested it in my pool but it seems to want to pull towards the left while i am reeling it in! this could cause a problem while i fish because i was going to troll it on my fishing kayak with other lures in the water and it will probably tangle with the other lures. is this normal for it to go to the left, can i stop it doing this?
